OUR PROGRAMS

Each term the children engage in a variety of themed activities, which are carefully planned to work towards progression of the Early Learning Goals. We also allow the children plenty of free play to enhance their learning journeys towards the new EYFS development matters. These plans include simple activities focusing on creative development, mathematics, communication,

language and literacy, physical development, personal and social development and knowledge and understanding of the world.

At Christmas the children come together to perform in a short play, consisting of singing and interaction. We also organise various visits from outside organisations with specific interests e.g. animals, puppet shows and road safety. Outside visits are organized to compliment the term’s theme where applicable. The emphasis is on learning through play with direction and support from staff. The childrens welfare needs are woven into the daily routine with times for snacks and rest.
